All About Toy Tattle
Toy Tattle is a blog written by me (Laura) all about, erm, well, toys obviously.
Buying toys for kids shouldn’t be rocket science, but it sometimes feels like it.
How do you unravel the Beyblades from the Bakugan, and the Lalaloopsies from the Squinkies?
All the shouty noise between kids programmes, called advertisements, try to impart information about the hottest new toy releases. Sure enough within seconds of the bright flashing images and loud music, kids know what that toy is all about and they know they want it. Good news for the toy companies – their adverts create the desire. Bad news for the toy companies – mums and dads have the credit cards, and after that 30 second TV ad, we still don’t know what we’re getting for our money.
So here I am, blogging for the benefit of baffled parents.

I headed up to Toy Fair 2012 early this year, to get my hands on the hottest new soon-to-be-launched toys, and as they are released to the general public, I will be blogging about my first hand experiences, to help you understand a little more about what the toy does, and if I would spend my money on it.
Along the way I’m hoping to throw in a handful of competitions, give you links to the best toy sales and discounts, and provide a heads up about new crazes that are set to sweep the playground.

All my posts are closed to comments because of pesky spammers who were swamping my poor little website. I tried sentencing the spammers to time out in the naughty corner, but that didn’t work and they were still pelting my blog with their gibberish, so instead I threw out all the comment boxes. But I still love a chat, so if you’ve got something to say, say it on FaceBook or Twitter, and I will do my very best to reply (between school runs, cooking the dinner, and unloading the washing machine).
